An improved version of Jubilee developed by the University of Florida for sweetness, uniform dark red color, resistance to Fusarium Wilt, Race 1. Jubilee II provides an attractive alternate to those currently growing or marketing any other version of a Jubilee type. Fruit can weigh up to 30 pounds, however size can vary due to plant population.

Legacy

Details 

The bright rind color and the firm flesh holds well, allowing a longer harvest window and a longer shelf life. It has a very uniform oblong shape thus reducing the tapering ends which usually contributes to a high percentage of culls. The fruit averages 22-25 pounds, however, with reduced plant populations it has the ability to exceed 25 pounds if conditions are favorable. Legacy has an attractive, deep red, firm flesh with a very good taste.

Mickylee

Details 

72-78 days. Mickylee is a small (ice-box) melon weighing 8-15 pounds. Small black seed. The rinds are tough and have a long shelf life, a good shipper. Red flesh with firm texture, very flavorful. When cutting the melon few visible seed, makes a very attractive melon. Small seed.

Mid-Night
 
80-85 days. Tolerant to wilt. Mid-night watermelon has a beautiful dark rind and looks like velvet. It is round with red flesh, crispy and sweet, has small brown seed. Very productive and early. Fruit averaging 15 to 18 pounds. In our trials, plants have been very vigorous. Sunscald has been very minimal for a dark rind melon.

Mountain Hoosier
 
85 days. The Mountain Hoosier is one of the most productive watermelons known and is very tasty. The melon is slightly oblong in shape with a dark green rind. The flesh is deep red. Crisp, very sweet and tender. Large seeds are white with slightly black rim and tip. Under favorable conditions, they will grow up to 75-80 pounds.

Ole'

Details 

85 days. Dark green striped rind similar to Allsweet. Rind is thick enough to provide good protection while shipping. The dark red flesh is very sweet and crisp. Blocky, oblong shape is very uniform. The size ranges from 22-25 lbs. Ole' is a very classy watermelon that would compete in any market. The planting seed are large, providing a stronger seedling. Final product will have small seeds. Tolerant to Fusarium Wilt.

Orange Crisp (seedless)

92 days. Vibrant orange flesh, has great flavor, very sweet and crisp. 14-18 lbs, round oval, jubilee rind pattern. Holds extremely well. Pollinator required.

Patriot

Details 

80-85 days. Patriot is early with good hybrid vigor. The fruit is light green with larger medium green stripes. Averaging 22-25 pounds. Very uniform in shape. The crispy red flesh is very sweet. Small mottled brown seed. Patriot is an excellent shipper. This high yielding hybrid keeps its cylindrical shape well, making this hybrid more suitable for shipping and handling.

Pinata (Large Seed)

85 days. Piņata is a very class Allsweet type hybrid watermelon with an attractive dark green striped rind that keeps well with some ability to resist sunburn. It is oblong in shape with the fruit averaging from 22-25 pounds. The uniform oblong shape tends to reduce the percentage of culls due to tapering ends. Piņata has a beautiful, crisp, sweet tasting, deep red, flesh with a tight placenta placement with no cracks or splits in the heart. We believe it to be a grower friendly watermelon.

80 days. Pronto is a new hybrid. As the name indicates, this watermelon matures quickly and sets a tremendous amount of fruit on the front end. The green striped fruit are very uniform in size, 20-24 lb average. The flesh is red and very sweet. Tolerant to Fusarium Wilt. Excellent choice for dry land planting.
